Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 August 2026.

BumR is a small private server run by one person as a hobby. This page explains, in plain terms, what we keep about you. It is not legal advice. If anything here worries you, ask before signing up.

What we keep

  • Your account: username, a scrambled version of your password that cannot be read back, and when you signed up.
  • Your Discord account details, once you connect it. This is how we check who you are.
  • Anything you make or write on the site: your avatar, uploads, descriptions, forum posts and messages.
  • Your chat, both on the site and in game. Staff can read it.
  • Your IP address, in the server logs. These are deleted after about two weeks.

Who can see what

Other players can see your profile, your avatar, anything you post, and which game you are in. You can hide the game you are in from account settings. Staff can see more, including chat, and can look at your account when handling a report.

Reports

If you report someone, or someone reports you, we save the report along with a copy of the nearby chat so a moderator can see what happened.

Playing games

Game servers run on the same machine as the site, and your IP address is visible to them so you can connect. Do not share a game link or join ticket with anyone you would not want knowing your IP.

Other services

The site loads a bot check from hCaptcha and some styling from jsDelivr. Those companies see your IP address when their files load. Connecting Discord sends you to Discord. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking of you on other websites.

What you can do

  • Hide which game you are in, from account settings.
  • Block someone. That stops messages and friend requests both ways.
  • Delete your account. That clears your account, but things you uploaded stay, as do moderation records and messages you sent to other people.

Nothing here is sold or handed to anyone else. Backups may hold copies of deleted things for a while before they age out. See also the terms of service.
